Each year we grow thousands of pounds of fresh organic fruits and vegetables on the Farm, with the goal of distributing as much as possible with folks in our local community. We are blessed to work with several great partners to help make sure that students and families are able to cook, eat and take home a huge variety of this food including:
⋅ Apples, Pears, Peaches, Grapes
⋅ Winter Squash and Pumpkins
⋅ Potatoes and Carrots
⋅ Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage
⋅ Lettuce, Spinach, Kale, Chard
⋅ Bread, Cheese, Ferments and other fresh local foods from our partner small businesses.
We distribute thousands of pounds of produce through several great projects and programs:
⋅ Weekly in season produce drop-offs at the Williams Food Pantry in partnership with A Greater Applegate
⋅ Free take home produce for families at our four partner schools (Williams, Applegate, Ruch, Hidden Valley)
⋅Cooking classes and Tasting Tables at our four partner schools
⋅ Donations to the Josephine County Food Bank
⋅ Fruit deliveries to Central Point Schools
Special thanks to our members and program and grant partners for helping to make these projects possible, including: A Greater Applegate, Ashland Food Coop, Oregon Department of Education, Josephine County Food Bank and Raptor Creek Farm, Williams Elementary, Applegate Elementary, Ruch Outdoor Community School, Hidden Valley High School Life Skills Class, and Central Point School District.
