Programs Children's Education
Our approach to education is rooted in interdisciplinary, experiential, and holistic learning as we seek to actively engage students in interactions with plants, animals, and each other. We place value on time spent outdoors and learning based on active participation in real tasks. By giving children the responsibilities of the work of the farm, they can take real pride in their role in putting food on the tables of local families. We also encourage students to help direct their own learning process. By seeking out what interests them on the farm, by making observations, and by sharing their insights with fellow students and teachers, children become their own educators. Our Children's Education Programs emphasize relationships in natural systems and promote this same connectivity between students. For information on upcoming children's education programs please read about Summer Farmstay and Summer Farm Day Camp or send us an email.
