White Oak Farm is offering a 3 day Intro to Natural Building Workshop June 9-11 2017. The workshop will provide the opportunity for aspiring natural builders to learn the techniques and theories of natural building through the construction of a small cob/straw bale/light straw clay classroom. The workshop will balance hands-on building practice with lectures, slide shows and discussions to providing ample opportunities for creativity, skill building, and experimentation.
The Intro to Natural Building Workshop is designed to provide experience to folks with an interest in developing their knowledge and skills in natural building techniques including: straw bale, cob, light straw clay, and earthen plaster. In addition participants will tour several completed structures and learn about their design and construction.
The workshop will be taught by Taylor Starr of White Oak Farm and James Haim of Cob Together. They have collectively taught over a dozen workshops on all aspects of natural building in Southern Oregon since 2005. For more info please email Taylor: firstname.lastname@example.org.
