Canada Geese (and goslings) survey their territory on the dam of the Farm's largest pond. This family returns every spring to raise young and then depart in the fall for warmer climes. This pond stores approximately 1 1/2 acre feet of water and when used for irrigation, is solar pumped to the uppermost pond on the land to feed the fields with gravity-pressurized water.
