A view of a spring cover crop of peas, oats, clover, favas, vetch and rye in the garden at sunset. We sow a mixture of crops each year to build the health and vitality of the soil and then cut them at maturity to make compost with the organic matter. This compost usually contains manure and is inoculated with the Biodynamic preparations as well. After the piles have cured for a year or so, they are applied to the garden beds to nourish the soil that grows our organic fruits and vegetables.
